Tonight join top musicians from Scotland, Nova Scotia, Ireland, Germany and Brazil in what will be a real international feast for the ears. Adam Sutherland & Marc Clement, two of Scotland's foremost traditional musicians, will be performing both their own innovative self-penned pieces as well as their versions of traditional material. Troy MacGillivray, Shelly Campbell and John Pellerin will bring some Nova Scotian style to the night with their tunes and dances. Northern Irish fiddlers Danny Diamond and Conor Caldwell will perform pieces and tunes from their most recent highly acclaimed album which draws on the fiddle traditions of their homelands while borrowing from other rich traditions in Scandinavia and the US. Figelin are an all-fiddle extravaganza that mixes North German dance music, songs and ballads with Jewish klezmer music, Hasidic melody, and Yiddish song. From Brazil, playing the fiddle music of his homeland and Cabo Verde, is Luiz Moretto. Luiz performs traditional music and jazz and his influences are evident in his own compositions. He'l be accompanied by a local trio comprising Piano (Simon Gall), Bass (Mike Rae) and Drums (Fraser Peterkin).
