The North Atlantic Fiddle Convention presents a gala concert with the very best of fiddlers and dancers from Scotland and beyond.

The climax of the North Atlantic Fiddle Convention, this concert will feature performances by world-renowned fiddle and cello duo Alasdair Fraser & Natalie Haas (Scotland/USA); NAFCo 2018 Ambassador Paul Anderson; the Aberdeen Strathspey & Reel Society; the inimitable London-based Indian violinist Jyotsna Srikanth with carnatic percussionists; Brittany Haas (USA), widely regarded as one of the most influential American fiddlers of her generation; and Alfonso Franco and Xose Liz with a host of Galician musicians (Spain), and likely a few surprise appearances as well.

The evening will also feature the premieres of two commissions for NAFCo 2018.
Young musicians from the North-East and beyond will perform a new piece by celebrated Scottish fiddler and composer, Patsy Reid, which is inspired by some of the traditions represented at NAFCo 2018.
Expressive and inventive percussive dancer, Nic Gareiss (USA) and Laura Risk (USA/Canada), a powerful and passionate fiddler and composer, will join together with a group of NAFCo artists and researchers for #performingresearch, a music and dance piece inspired by the themes and dialogues of NAFCo 2018.
