NAFCo in Glenbuchat A Celebration of Alexander Walker

16:30–18:00 Glenbuchat Hall, Glenbuchat £10/£5 (under 16s)

Glenbuchat’s recently renovated village hall, fast gaining a reputation as a red-hot ceilidh spot, sees the cream of North-East Scotland’s fiddle talent come out, with Paul Anderson, Sharon Hassan and Jonny Hardie linking up for a day of workshops, walks and an early-evening concert celebrating the tunes and life of 19th century fiddle player and composer, Alexander Walker, and his contemporaries. Our Nova Scotian guest artists will bring an international flavour to the event, joining the home and music of Walker’s later-life, with the landscape and traditions of his youth. Attend for the concert, or make a day of it on the Day Oot tour, join in on guided walks, and take part in music workshops. Refreshments, lunch and afternoon tea & cake will be available to purchase on the day at Glenbuchat Hall.
